Rock and roll hall of fame induction 2004
Rock and roll hall of fame induction 2004, The music and speeches of the Ides of March fete were superb, with Prince's nine-piece revue kicking it off with an incendiary set: "Let's Go Crazy," "Sign O' the Times," and "Kiss." Other high points were stellar speeches, including Bruce Springsteen's induction of Jackson Browne and Mick Jagger's of Jann Wenner, both spiked with humor and insight.

Traffic and Bob Seeger and the Silver Bullet Band runited this historic evening. Filmmaker Robert Townsend inducted the Dells. And there were crunchy blues and humorous remarks surrounding ZZ Top's induction by Keith Richards.

The posthumous induction of George Harrison by his Traveling Wilburys pals Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty, naturally, weighed heavy, but the counterpoint was an uplifting musical tribute from a number of artists, including Harrison's son, Dhani.
