Talking about the popular race Jenner told reporters, “I had heard about it a lot but never had the opportunity to come here.”
Before hitting the track Jenner’s son, who also raced, added. “We’re just going to go as quick as we can, try to drive smooth, I’m going to try to keep up with this guy.”
Also participating in the race was Jenner’s good friend and Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey. The A-List actor and his racing partner Andy Lally recently took 6th place in the Oak Tree Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway.
Jenner has been receiving a lot of attention over the last few weeks, recently he had a cancer scare that sent him running for the doctors. Jenner described that scare:
“Nobody wears sunblock back then. It’s a Basal cell carcinoma, which is a—basically it is a skin cancer, because it doesn’t heal.” Jenner adds, “On the nose, I had a little red spot…The problem with the nose is, there’s no skin to cover it up, to cover up the hole. Then I had to go to a plastic surgeon and he does this whole procedure where he…cuts the skin off your nose and replaces it. So it’s a little bit more complicated just to fill the stupid little hole.”
In yet more Bruce Jenner news, rumors have circulated that Jenner and wife Kris are living in separate houses and preparing for a divorce. That news has spread like wildfire since his son Brody let it slip that the couple are on the rocks.
Perhaps racing Lamborhini’s is Bruce Jenner’s way of easing his mind after a cancer scare and potential divorce. I’m sure nothing says calm down to a former Olympic gold medalist like whipping around a racetrack at breakneck speeds.
