Roller coaster stuck

Roller coaster stuck, Passengers on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit were experiencing an adrenaline-filled ride at the Universal theme park in Florida on Wednesday, when it became lodged in a vertical position.

Firefighters eventually managed to rescue those who were stranded, including three children, from the ride. One person was treated for neck pain.

The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit can reach speeds of 105 kilometres per hour.

The roller coaster, which opened in 2009, was shut for two days in August after a rider suffered minor injuries when the car she was riding in suddenly stopped.

The attraction has been closed until safety checks have been carried out.
