Jets fan punches woman

Jets fan punches woman
Jets fan punches woman, The Jets may have won the game on Oct. 20, but their fans — one in particular — have nothing to be proud of after a video was released of a belligerent fan brutally punching a female New England Patriots supporter after the game.

New York Jets fans take pride in their total dedication, but one fan took it way too far, getting into an altercation with a woman and actually punching her in the face after the Jets beat the New England Patriots on Oct. 20.

Jets Fan Punches A Woman

The brutally ugly fight was captured by a fan, and the video was later uploaded to Deadspin. It shows how the altercation started while fans exited the MetLife Stadium after the Jets’ tense overtime victory against the Patriots. Fans of both teams were clearly arguing with each other, and the banter escalated into something much worse when two women wearing Patriots gear approached a fan wearing a Wayne Chrebet Jets jersey.

The Jets fan didn’t hesitate in getting physical, throwing a violent haymaker and hitting one of the girls square in the face. A male Patriots fan then jumped into the mix, and the female Patriots fan also came back with a few punches of her own, before the fight was broken up and the crowd dissipated.

Jets Altercation: Man & Woman Detained

Though the altercation was completely heinous and dangerous, the video shows no signs of security personnel coming to the woman’s aid. A spokesperson for the Jets commented on the matter telling the New York Post, “We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior. Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”

The unidentified goon was not arrested, nor was the girl who was assaulted, a State Police official said on Oct. 20.

It’s really such a terrible occurrence — there’s nothing wrong with people being devoted to a football team, but when that devotion veers into obsession and violence, it paints a negative picture on entire fan bases and fandom in general.
