Bally's hotel shooting

Bally's hotel shooting
Bally's hotel shooting, A man who shot and killed one and injured at least three others at a Las Vegas nightclub Monday morning was apparently angered over the club's refusal to refund his cover fee.

Las Vegas Metro police said a man who had paid the $30 cover to enter Drai's Nightclub in the Bally's Hotel and Casino got into an argument with management over a refund. In the course of the argument, the man pulled out a gun and aimed at the manager and security guards.

Another patron inside the club attempted to stop the gunman and was shot and killed, police said. The manager, as well as at least two security guards, were shot and injured.

The gunman was then tackled by other security guards and patrons, and police were able to take him into custody. He was taken to University Medical Center for treatment, and booked at Clark County Detention Center in absentia. The two injured security guards were also transported to the hospital.

"Drai's After House and Bally's Las Vegas extend deepest sympathies to those injured by the shooter," Bally's said, adding that it was fully supporting the investigation.
