Happy hearts fund, From July 2010, the Architecture for Humanity team starts working together with Happy Hearts Fund and SURA Group from Latin America to design and build a series of innovative schools in Central and South America. The projects take place in underprivileged communities that have been affected by natural disasters.

Happy Hearts Fund: Founded by Petra Nemcova in 2005, their mission is to improve children's lives through educational and sustainable programs in natural disaster areas.

Happy Hearts Fund has been fundraising and coordinating for the rebuilding of schools in different countries such as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, as part of their post disaster reconstruction program, also giving support to over 50 schools around the globe.

The approach towards helping young children is focused in education, technology and sustainability. Their different programs are intended to leave a legacy in which the school community can sustain and work independently towards providing optimal education.

SURA Group: As a major international company, SURA has a responsibility to make a positive contribution to society. One of SURA’s primary interests is to invest in a better future by offering children chances through quality education. In Latin America, SURA has been implementing a series of projects, programs and activities providing support and funding for the reconstruction of schools in Peru and Mexico. SURA has been very influential by promoting sustainable development in underprivileged communities.
