David and Victoria Beckham sell 'Beckingham Palace' for $19 million, David and Victoria Beckham have officially sold their 17-acre country estate in England's Hertfordshire County, to free up more resources for a $70 million central London home, the Sunday Mirror reported.

Affectionately dubbed "Beckingham Palace," the massive Georgian-style mansion sold for $19 million and comes with the family's Ferrari and two Jaguars.

The retired soccer player and former Spice Girl bought the property for $4 million back in 1999.

David is reportedly "desperately sad" about selling his family home, but sources told The Sun that "there is no need to keep it." Three of the Beckhams' four children -- Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, and Cruz, eight -- attend school in west London.

"They have had years of happiness in the home," a source told the tabloid.
