Beyonce not only spread holiday cheer to her fans when she released her surprise self-titled album last week, but on Friday she shocked shoppers with an impromptu trip to a Massachusetts Walmart.
The 32-year-old songstress showed up to the store in Tewksbury around 7 p.m., grabbed a cart and started strutting through the aisles.

She even picked up a hard copy of her own record, “Beyonce,” that became available one week after its online debut.
Beyonce wore an aqua colored mini-dress and leather jacket as she grabbed the mic and addressed the crowd.
Us Weekly reported that Jay Z’s gal gifted ever person in the store with a $50 gift card to Walmart, which came to a total of $37,500 for 720 shoppers.

Beyonce’s unannounced visit to Walmart comes just days after one of the retailer’s top competitors, Target Stores, put out a statement declaring they would not sell the “XO” singer’s album because of her choice to release it online first.
“At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections,” a spokeswoman for Target, Erica Julkowski, told Billboard.
“While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats,” she continued.
“At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyoncé’s new self-titled album ‘Beyonce.”
